Bilbao Bizkaia Design Council
Initiative launched by the Bilbao City Council and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia in order to promote creative industries as a factor of economic development and international projection of Bilbao Bizkaia.
Its activity is focused on ten sectors that generate young employment, are mainly developed in urban environments, and have the capacity to anticipate and to propose strategic solutions for the future of the city and the territory:
Architecture, art, audiovisual, crafts, communication, design, digital contents, interior design, fashion and video games.
Launched in 2013, BiDC is managed by a board composed of 32 relevant organisations from the local economic, cultural and academic fields; and a forum formed by more than 200 companies from different creative sectors.
Bilbao Ekintza and Beaz are members of the Executive Committee, and Beaz is also in charge of the technical secretariat.
