BIOK! It is the living laboratory that promotes and streamlines the innovation processes of organizations that wish to strengthen their current position. It facilitates collaboration between leading companies and government entities in Bizkaia with startups, SMEs and entrepreneurs around the world through open innovation challenges.
We support public and private entities in Bizkaia who want to address strategic challenges through

Diffusion of the challenge: Dissemination at a national and international level through events, networks, accelerators, the European Business Network (EEN), among other means.

Reception and pre-selection of proposals: review and analysis of proposals received, followed by pre-selection of finalists.

Organization and management of the In-Factory Innovation Trip: Holding two sessions of interviews and interactive workshops with startups, in order to improve the pre-selected proposals.

Technical secretariat functions in the final selection and launch of the pilot projects: Assistance to the entity that presented the challenge in the evaluation of the improved proposals during the “In-Factory Innovation Trip”.

Selection of the winning company.

For whom?
This service is aimed at:
(a) Public and private entities in Bizkaia wishing to address strategic challenges by promoting the development and validation of prototypes through new forms of collaboration. They are also committed to financing the execution of a pilot with a minimum budget of € 15,000.
b) Start-ups and SMEs that aim to develop innovations and test them in real situations for validation and subsequent expansion.
